This painting was inspired by a trip up the coast of NSW Australia to a place not far from Newcastle called Stockton beach. My daughter and I went exploring looking for the track leading to the sand hills and an old fisherman’s village on the beach called “Tin City”. Along the bush track curious goannas scuttled in and out of the bush. They followed us all the way to the sand hills. We did eventually find Tin City… and this is another story!
